The project, create a responsive website that had an album listening and ordering flow for a rap group, Unhinged Block Warriors. The group needed a website that users could visit to purchase albums as well as listen to them.

Challenge:

     The website needed to show the groups, albums, any new, featured, or most popular. Another important feature I wanted to include was News about the group as well as current tour dates and locations.

     While conducting the research users expressed difficulties that they had with other similar sites. 

     Following that, a competitive audit was done focusing on many different music streaming sites as well as band merchandise sites. Few offered the ability to both stream and purchase and the few that did weren't able to do it in the same location or window.

     With the findings discovered from the competitive audit, potential user flows, and personas, the next steps were to create an album landing page where users could stream the album as well as "add to cart" or "buy now" buttons. 

     Now it was time to start formulating ideas, create wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes.

     Testing the low-fidelity prototype in an unmonitored usability study brought up opportunities for improvement. Focusing heavily on the checkout process. The study found that users wanted to know where they were in the checkout process. Not knowing all the steps left users feeling frustrated.

     Subtle changes like these helped users' overall experience which would lead to the likelihood of users returning to the site.

      The creation of this website will help not only fans who always want to listen to their favorite group but also provide the group ample opportunities to showcase their work.
